Internet Privacy

Here's Lookin' At You

1. Disable 3rd party cookies in browser.
2. DNSCrypt (Install it) (This encrypts your DNS requests) (May need Net Framework update.)
3. VPN (Private Internet Access is what I use) Look at PureVPN or IPVanish
4 Set Startpage as default search
5. Firewall other than Windows ???? I hate all of them. Comodo has become a bloat factory.
6. Use Signal Private Messenger

https://www.grc.com/default.htm  to test a few things.

Maybe use Nirsoft's QuickSetDNS to change you DNS server. Handier than doing it manually.
1. DNS.Watch 84.200.69.80,84.200.70.40
DNS.Watch is unique in offering an alternative DNS service without the website logging found on almost every rival.
2. OpenDNS 208.67.220.220,208.67.222.222
3. Cloudflare 1.1.1.1,1.0.0.1 claims to not save and deletes logs every 24 hours (very fast)

Sharing Privately
https://onionshare.org/ (you will need to use the Tor Browser on both ends)
Tor Browser
Portable (Install simply means copying the folder somewhere)
Open Tor and copy shared link into address to download shared material.
This keeps from needing to rely on a third party to distribute your files.
Hopeless for large files.

Under Volt Processor - PC Overheating

Is your laptop burning your lap and the fans driving you crazy? First blow out your vents with some type of compressed air. You may be surprised by how much dust has accumulated in your vents and on your fans.
Then . . .
Under volt your Intel processors with this. Go to "core" then "core voltage offset" and scroll up for minus numbers. Minus 0.050 should easily be stable. The laptop I am on right now is fine at -0.150 and my maximum benchmark temp is lower by 8C. Benchmark at each setting to check temp numbers and basic stability before "applying". If you are paranoid, you could stress test for an hour but I don't bother. Saving profiles allows for quickly changing settings in case you want to game or do something that requires higher voltage. I have under volted processors for years without any casualties other than when you under volt to low the computer crashes. Just restart and turn up the voltage.
If you are operating you artificial heart with your laptop, disregard this recommendation. Otherwise just do it.

Crazy Error I had not seen before. Pin not available blah blah. I restarted a few times and it finally worked. If it doesn't some say to...
